A guy has died in an automobile accident between Pipeline and Offa Garage in Ilọrin. His identity is unknown.
According to a witness, Wasiu Olalekan, who talked with our reporter during a visit to the spot on Monday, the victim was struck by a Dana truck.
Mr Abdul Ayinde, an officer with the Kwara State Traffic Management Authority (KWATMA), acknowledged the event and blamed it on a brake failure.
“The driver of the Dana truck lost control of the vehicle when his brakes failed, colliding with the dead on top of a motorbike carrying two passengers.
“It took quite a while to pull the okada from under the truck because of the impact of the severity,” he said.
He added the deceased’s body had been removed while the wounded victims were being treated at the hospital.
