The two commissioners explored key areas of collaboration, emphasizing the need for joint initiatives on peace, security, and governance.

They agreed to undertake joint technical missions to selected member states, enhance engagement between the AU Peace and Security Council and the ECOWAS Mediation and Security Council, and initiate direct consultations between their respective teams.

These efforts aim to strengthen institutional coordination and reinforce ongoing peace and security interventions in the region, in line with ECOWAS’s commitment to fostering stability and good governance.
