Man arrested for threatening to upload woman’s nude video

The police in Uromi town in Esan South-East LGA of Edo State have arrested a man, Emmanuel Ebeagbor (20), alias Dr Walock, for defrauding a woman of N240,000 and threatening to upload her nude video on the internet.

The state’s Commissioner of Police (CP), Funsho Adegboye, said the suspect requested N240,000 from the woman on the internet to solve her spiritual problem of having constant nightmares.

He said the victim transferred the money to him through his bank account, and that after collecting the money, the suspect demanded her nude video for spiritual cleansing and promised to delete it after using it.

He further said the victim did as she was instructed but that two weeks later, the suspect started blackmailing her and demanded N400,000, threatening to upload the nude video on the internet if she refused to comply.

He added that during investigation, the complainant’s nude video and the videos of other women were found in his phone.

In an interview with journalists, the suspect said he introduced himself to the woman that he was a spiritualist, promising to help her, Daily Trust reports.
