Ibrahim, through NSCDC Public Relations Officer Michael Ejelikwu, told media that the rape suspect, Gbanger Terkimbi on Sunday (25), reportedly got carnal knowledge of an 11-year-old girl in the Mbakumur Peivi village of Guma LGA in Benue State.

During an interview with media, Sunday acknowledged to the crime, claiming that he was teaching the kid sex at her request.

The NSCDC further stated that the second suspect, 27-year-old Abdullahi Ali, also known as “Rayyamu and two pack,” was apprehended on February 5 at 11:49 a.m. in Ankpa Quarters in Makurdi for suspected criminal conspiracy, theft, armed robbery, and deceit.

Ali was also accused of escaping twice from NSCDC detention and once from police custody while in handcuffs before being caught by civil defence personnel.

The suspect told reporters that he fled because he was suffering in jail and urged the law to temper justice with charity.

Meanwhile, the remaining two suspects, Aliyu Ali, 32, and Mustapha Aliyu, 27, both drivers, were apprehended on February 4 in Ugbokpo, Apa LGA, for suspected vandalism, theft, purposeful damage of key national assets, and criminal conspiracy.

According to the NSCDC PRO, the pair was also in possession of a stolen MF375 tractor, which was presumed to belong to either the Benue or Nasarawa State governments but had been recovered.
