The Managing Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC) and veteran actor, Dr. Ali Nuhu, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to youth empowerment through various developmental initiatives.
The veteran actor, film producer and script writer who was live at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Temporary Orientation Camp at WAYE Foundation, Jos, Plateau State, emphasized the government’s dedication to nurturing young talents and providing platforms for skill acquisition. He highlighted the role of the NFC in equipping youths with essential filmmaking skills, including digital photography, scriptwriting, and film production, in collaboration with both local and international stakeholders.
Addressing Corps Members of the 2024 Batch “C” Stream II, Dr. Nuhu encouraged aspiring filmmakers to remain dedicated, hone their craft, and develop a unique artistic style. He stressed the importance of consistency, humility, and networking in building a successful career in the entertainment industry.
He also advised Corps Members to maintain financial discipline by investing in alternative businesses, given the unpredictable nature of the entertainment sector while cautioning against drug and substance abuse.
NYSC Plateau State Coordinator, Mr. Jonathan I. Yavala, expressed appreciation for Dr. Nuhu’s visit, describing it as an invaluable opportunity for Corps Members to learn from his wealth of experience in both Kannywood and Nollywood.
The visit concluded with an interactive session and a vote of thanks from the Corps Camp Director, Miss Mbek Crystal Ima-Abasi, who acknowledged the icons insightful contributions to the aspiring creatives.
