According to former Israeli government advisor Daniel Levy, Israeli policymakers insist on waging an unrestricted assault in Gaza until the Palestinian organisation Hamas is vanquished, yet this objective is “fantasy.”

The head of the US/Middle East Project, Levy, tells presenter Steve Clemons that the primary issue is the Biden administration’s reluctance to take on the role of a superpower and cease providing financial support for Israel’s war.
