A$AP Rocky Set to Buy English Club After Not Guilty Verdict

Rapper A$AP Rocky is set to complete the takeover of Tranmere Rovers following his acquittal on two felony assault charges.

Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Athelston Mayers, was found not guilty on Tuesday of charges related to the use of a semi-automatic weapon in a 2021 altercation in Hollywood.

According to Sky Sports, he is now part of a consortium finalizing the purchase of Tranmere Rovers from Mark Palios. The deal, which has been in progress for nearly a year, involves acquiring over 80% of the League Two club for £15 million.

Indonesian investors, Santini Group, will retain their minority stake and remain involved at Prenton Park.
