Actor Sylvester Madu denies selling Okrika

Nollywood actor Sylvester Madu, popularly known as Shina Rambo, has denied claims that he sells okrika (second-hand clothes).

The rumors began after a 2023 viral video showed him selling clothes laid out on the floor in a market in Enugu. Many assumed he was dealing in okrika.

However, in a recent interview with media personality Patience Yisa, Madu clarified the situation. He explained that while the clothes were displayed on the ground, they were actually brand-new items imported from the United States.

The actor added that he owns several clothing shops managed by his staff, and he only joined in selling because he dislikes being idle.

Madu said, “First of all, I don’t sell okrika. Those clothes I was filmed selling are not necessarily okrika because they were on the floor. I don’t sell okrika. I import from I sell from the U.S.

“I have multiple shops and I have boys who sell for me. I don’t do big man, I go to the field to sell by myself. I have a lot of people selling for me. I have different shops. I monitor my business. I have been doing this business for over 30 years.”
