Nigerian actress Toyin Abraham has made a startling revelation, stating that she is ready to die after facing relentless criticism for her support of President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election.

Abraham, who had publicly endorsed Tinubu, praised the former Lagos governor as “a wonderful man to my people.”

Her endorsement, however, did not sit well with some Nigerians on social media, leading to a wave of backlash and criticism.

The situation escalated when influencer Big Ayo accused Abraham of receiving money from Tinubu to fund a hair transplant for her husband, a claim she vehemently denies. In a post, Ayo wrote:

“Mrs @toyin_abraham1 walai aiye e ti ta!! You collect Tinubu money use do hair transplant for your husband… Stupid fool.”

In response, Abraham reported the matter to the cybercrime unit, highlighting her refusal to tolerate threats against her family.

On Tuesday night, the influencer was arrested for defamation, sparking further controversy as many Nigerians condemned Abraham for Ayo’s arrest and called for his release.

During an Instagram live session on Wednesday, Abraham expressed her anguish, stating that she has endured relentless bullying from trolls due to her political stance.

She declared that she is ready to die, given the barrage of attacks, but vowed that those who bullied her would face consequences before her demise.

She said her only offence was exercising her right to vote, saying she would not take it anymore.
