Man sues girlfriend over a pregnancy allegation

On Tuesday, Farouk Solihu took his girlfriend, Kehinde Garba, before an Area Court in Centre-Igboro, Ilorin, for allegedly fabricating false charges that he pregnant her.

Solihu informed the court that the woman lied about being responsible for her pregnancy.

”Another man made her pregnant. She reported me to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). “She told the NSCDC that I impregnated her, but I know I didn’t,” he stated.

In her statement, the lady stated in court that Solihu is responsible for her pregnancy and wishes to dispute paternity.

The Judge, Malam AbdulQadir Umar, instructed the lady to produce evidence of allegations, stating that she is in the best position to throw light on the situation.

Umar stated that the defendant must establish that Solihu was responsible for her pregnancy using a legitimate document, a witness, or both.

He delayed the case until March 19. (NAN)
