Multiple reports say the pair married on December 31, 2023.

According to one of the sources, the pair had a little quarrel on Sunday evening and were reconciled before going to bed until the deceased’s mother heard her son crying in the middle of the night.

“When the mother and other residents of the house emerged, they discovered the husband in a pool of blood.” The husband attempted to flee the room, but he collapsed at the door, and we still don’t know where the woman is,” one of the individuals said.

According to the source, the lady stabbed her husband in the chest before killing him.

When asked whether it was a forced marriage, sources indicated the pair had been together for years but before the wedding date was set, she changed her mind and married someone else.

‘Despite this, the concerns were remedied. They began their romance in secondary school and have been together since. But before the marriage, she said that she was no longer interested in the connection. But the situation was overcome, and she ultimately accepted, unaware that this was her goal. “She said she had a new suitor,” the insider said.

When reached, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, the Public Relations Officer for the Niger State Police Command, verified the occurrence to our reporter.

He said, “Today, 12/02/2024, at around 1200hrs, information was obtained that in the early hours of today, one Idris Ahmadu of Nasarawa village, via Lapai, was stabbed to death by his wife, Aisha Aliyu (19/20 years) of the same address.

“Before the police arrived at the site, the suspect ran to an unknown location, and efforts are being made to apprehend the fleeing suspect. “Please investigate the case.”
