Nigeria Police Confirm Lil Smart’s Arrest [DETAILS]

The Nigeria Police Force has addressed the viral reports regarding the arrest of Lil Smart, a former signee of Marlian Records, following his recent online clash with Naira Marley and Zinoleesky.

Lil Smart had earlier accused his former label boss and colleague of physical assault, abduction, and manipulation, leading to widespread controversy.

Speculation about his arrest grew when Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop claimed Lil Smart was detained at an undisclosed location.

In an official statement shared on Instagram, the Nigeria Police confirmed that Lil Smart was indeed arrested for cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and spreading false information about Naira Marley.

The authorities revealed that he was taken into custody last month at his residence in Mejamogun Estate, Ajah, Lagos, where relevant exhibits were recovered.

The post reads, “Following a petition filed by a law firm, operatives of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime arrested one Idowu Smart Emmanuel, for criminal defamation, cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and falsehood against Abdulazeez Adeshina Fashola (A.K.A Naira Marley)”.

“Investigations revealed that the suspect, using his Instagram handle @lilsmart_ , falsely alleged that he was abducted, assaulted”.

“On January 28, 2025, he was apprehended at his residence in Megamound Estate, Ajah, Lagos, and the exhibits involved in this crime were recovered”.
