Success Egbekoba, a young Nigerian talent, has set a new Guinness World Record for the Longest Time Reading Aloud by an Individual, achieving an impressive 250 hours. She surpassed the previous record of 215 hours held by Samson Ajao.
The reading marathon took place at the College of Education Warri, where Egbekoba overcame some initial technical issues to finish successfully.
Born in Delta State, she is also an entrepreneur, and she emphasized that the goal of the marathon was to promote literacy, especially at a time when some young adults turn to cyber fraud instead of focusing on education.
Egbekoba shared that the event was aimed at encouraging children, particularly girls and women, to pursue their dreams and aspirations.
It also sought to support the less privileged who lack opportunities to further their education, stressing the importance of education and self-empowerment.
