Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj has officially been crowned the greatest female rapper of all time by Billboard.
In a newly released list by Billboard staff, titled “Best Female Rappers of All Time,” Minaj claimed the top spot, beating out iconic names like Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, and Queen Latifah.
Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, Lil’ Kim, and Queen Latifah followed closely behind in the second to fifth positions. The rest of the top 10 included MC Lyte, Salt-N-Pepa, Roxanne Shanté, Eve, and Foxy Brown.
Interestingly, Minaj’s long-time rivals, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, ranked outside the top 10, sitting at numbers 11 and 15 respectively.
Despite her unmatched impact and being widely considered the greatest by fans, Nicki Minaj has never won a Grammy. In contrast, both Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have secured Grammy wins in rap categories.
