Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed why he has yet to marry his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez, despite their nine-year relationship and growing family.

The football star and the Argentine-Spanish model have been together since 2016 and share two daughters, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda. Georgina also helps raise Ronaldo’s three other children: Cristiano Jr., and twins Eva and Mateo.

Their unmarried status has sparked speculation among fans, but in I Am Georgina, a Netflix docuseries, the couple addressed the topic.

Georgina shared that their children often joke about their wedding, referencing Jennifer Lopez’s song “The Ring.” However, she admitted that the decision wasn’t up to her.

In response, Ronaldo said, “I always tell her that when we get that click, like everything in our life… It could be in a year, in six months, or even a month. I’m 1000% sure it will happen.”

While he didn’t specify when, Ronaldo reassured fans that marriage is in their future.
