‘Fireboy Is Very Respectful’ – Seun Kuti Hails Singer

Nigerian singer Seun Kuti shared his experience collaborating with younger artist Fireboy DML on the song “Ecstasy” from Fireboy’s new album, “Adedamola,” released on August 28, 2024.

Seun praised Fireboy for being respectful, noting that when Fireboy reached out to him, he offered to pay him.

Instead, Seun invited Fireboy to his home, where they worked together in person.

Seun appreciated this approach, as he preferred to discuss the collaboration face-to-face rather than over the phone.

He also commended Fireboy as a talented artist, contrasting him with others who, despite being less talented, often hide behind arrogance and aloofness.
