Former Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has officially joined Nollywood, marking a new chapter in her career just months after being removed from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.
Kennedy-Ohanenye was appointed minister in August 2023 but was sacked in October 2024 during a cabinet reshuffle that saw the removal of four other ministers.
Now, at 51 years old, the lawyer, entrepreneur, and politician has shifted her focus to the Nigerian movie industry. She announced her entry into Nollywood via her X handle, sharing a video of her latest film project.
Kennedy-Ohanenye, who joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2015, made history as the party’s first female presidential aspirant in 2023, before stepping down to support Tinubu.
