Nigerian singer Oxlade, whose real name is Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, has revealed that he began singing before he could speak.
In a recent appearance on the ’90s Babies’ podcast, Oxlade shared that his parents told him he was singing before he could talk.
He described how, as a child, he was able to sing faster than he could form words.
In his words;
“I started singing before I started talking. My parents told me that I started singing before I could even talk.”
“I sang faster than catching up with talks. That was what my parents told me. I feel like that was where it [my talent] all started from.”
