Controversial rapper and fashion mogul Kanye West has claimed that Taylor Swift is partly to blame for him never being selected to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show.
In a now-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), Kanye said there were three key reasons behind his exclusion from the iconic performance slot: his famous comment during a Hurricane Katrina telethon that “George Bush doesn’t care about Black people,” his infamous clash with Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, and his public support of Donald Trump by wearing a “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) hat.
He wrote:
“I never was allowed to do the Super Bowl because of three moments. George Bush doesn’t care about Black people. The Taylor Swift movement moment. And wearing a MAGA hat.”
The 47-year-old artist was referring to the incident where he interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech to praise Beyoncé, a move that sparked massive backlash and a long-running public feud with Swift.
