Mohbad’s personal assistant, Adeyemo Boluwatife, has revealed that the late singer’s father, Joseph Aloba, pushed for a quick burial after receiving N2 million from singer Davido.

Adeyemo made this statement while testifying at the coroner’s inquest in Ikorodu, which was set up by the Lagos State Government to investigate Mohbad’s death.

Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, under suspicious circumstances, and was buried the next day.

Following widespread calls for justice, his body was exhumed on September 21, 2023, for an autopsy.

During the court hearing, Adeyemo, who is also Mohbad’s nephew, claimed that Aloba insisted on the immediate burial after receiving the money.

He also stated that he transferred N1 million to Mohbad’s father and gave the rest to the singer’s younger brother, Adura, after covering hospital and ambulance expenses.

Adeyemo further noted that investigators took possession of Mohbad’s phone after his death.
