Six persons—four men and two women—have been taken into custody by FCT police command agents affiliated with the Anti-Kidnapping Unit. These individuals are thought to be kidnappers operating out of the nation’s capital.
at a statement released by the command, the suspects are identified as the wanted kidnapping kingpin Buhari Muhammad (20), Muhammad Sabiu (20), Isah Abdullahi, Hamzat Musa (21), Fatima Abdullahi (22) and Zuliat Yusuf (23), who are all staying at a hotel in Bassa village in the Federal Capital Territory.
The command said that Joshua Eze, the husband of Blessing Eze, was kidnapped on January 27 and was shot throughout the ordeal. However, Joshua Eze was saved the next day without any injuries thanks to the efforts of the command’s police officers.
One AK-47 weapon, ten cell phones, N345,000 in cash, and other valuables were found from the suspects, who had subsequently admitted to the crime and other kidnapping incidents in the area, according to a statement made by the command’s spokesman, SP Josephine Adeh.
The statement claims that although the investigation is still underway, Benneth C. Igweh, the Commissioner of Police, pledges to the people that the Federal Capital Territory would be free of criminal activity in all of its forms.
