Portable, Speed Darlington to face off in celebrity boxing match April 18

Controversial Nigerian musicians, Speed Darlington and Portable, are set to face off in a celebrity boxing match on April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos.

Their feud began in March after Darlington offered Portable ₦500,000 to perform at his upcoming show.

Portable rejected the offer, calling it “ridiculous” and labeling Darlington as “poor.” He also claimed he charges ₦20 million per performance.

In response, Darlington expressed regret for inviting Portable and questioned why he resorted to insults. The tension escalated when Portable challenged him to a fight, boasting that he would defeat him just as he did to actor Charles Okocha in a previous celebrity boxing match.

Following demands from fans, the fight has now been officially arranged. The event organizer, Mygamerush, announced it on Instagram, stating, “You asked, and now it is here. Two street kings battle for ultimate street supremacy.”

Portable previously defeated Okocha in a celebrity boxing match in December 2023, and fans are eager to see how this new showdown will unfold.
