A real estate company has publicly refuted claims made by fashion entrepreneur Sophia Momodu, the mother of Afrobeats star Davido’s daughter, Imade Adeleke, regarding her ownership of a luxurious house she showcased online.
On September 20, Sophia posted a video on Snapchat, giving her followers a tour of what appeared to be her newly purchased home, featuring a grand staircase and spacious rooms.
The post impressed viewers and sparked conversations on social media.
However, hours later, the real estate company associated with the property released a statement denying that Momodu owns the house, saying,
“It’s the effrontery and the guts to lie with so much confidence.”
The company did not elaborate on why the house appeared in her video or if she had been involved in any negotiations.
This denial has sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans speculating whether the tour was a preview of a future purchase or part of a promotional arrangement.
