VeryDarkMan Reacts to Court’s Arrest Warrant Over Mercy Chinwo Defamation Case

Popular social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has responded to the bench warrant issued for his arrest over alleged criminal defamation of gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.

The Chief Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, ordered his arrest on March 13, 2025, after he failed to appear in court following a March 5, 2025 summons.

Chinwo’s legal team accused him of making false allegations about a contractual dispute and a $345,000 transaction involving her former record label boss, Eezee Tee.

Reacting via his Instagram story, VDM, who is currently abroad, dared security agencies to arrest him at the airportwhen he returns to Nigeria.

“I dey come Naija very soon, make una ready to arrest me for airport. Arrest no be new thing for the Ratel na.”

VDM’s defiant stance has further fueled discussions online, with many waiting to see how the situation unfolds upon his return
