Blaqbonez Lists His Top 5 Greatest Afrobeats Songs of All Time

Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has shared his top five greatest Afrobeats songs of all time during a recent appearance on the Lagos podcast.

Blaqbonez named 2Face Idibia’s “African Queen” as the greatest Afrobeats song of all time, followed by Wizkid’s “Ojuelegba,” Burna Boy’s *”Ye,” Davido’s “If,”* and M.I’s “Safe.”

However, notable hits like D’banj’s “Oliver Twist,” Wizkid and Tems’ “Essence,” South African singer Tyla’s “Water,” CKay’s “Love Nwantiti,” and Rema’s “Calm Down,” which played key roles in taking Afrobeats global, were not included in his list.
