In what seems more of a jungle justice, 16 hunters of northern Nigerian extraction have been killed and lynched in Edo state.
They were killed by mob said to be vigilante in Uromi community in Edo state.
They are said to be on their way to Kano from Portharcourt passing through Edo state en route Abuja.
The vigilante group claimed they killed people they thought were kidnappers.

“That was they saw and they raised an alarm that they’ve caught kidnappers. They later dragged out, beat them up and lynched them with tires and petrol.”
Reports had it there are four survivors that are still receiving treatment and His Grace Hospital in Uromi.
The governor had called for calm, saying the perpetrators will be arrested.
He also thanked the Hausa community in Uromi for their emergency peace meeting aim at preventing unwanted escalation.
