A Nigerian woman, Bena, better known as Bennie, has described how she abandoned her spouse and children in order escape ‘japa’ from the country’s terrible economic challenges, only to end up in prostitution.

She said that her route into prostitution in Europe was aided by her careless spouse’s attitude, as well as the deceit and seduction of a friend affiliated with a trafficking network.

She said in Nigerian Pidgin, “Since I entered this Yankee, I’ve been doing labour. My name is Bena, but they call me Bennie. The overseas has turned to hell for me lately. “Every day, I regret this decision.”

“I am originally from Lagos, but because of poverty, I had to leave my parents, my husband and children to travel abroad.” She went on to say.

Explaining the pitiful conditions she lived in before making the regrettable decision to join her companion overseas, the lady stated that she was still in debt to her madam syndicate for N3 million at the time of shooting the video.

She regretted how, after arriving overseas, she discovered that the promised employment was prostitution.

Despite having a work in Lagos, she stated that the pay was insufficient to cover her demands and that her spouse was not responsible for her sexual activity.I didn’t end my marriage because I had a long throat for money and people from other countries wanted to murder me,” she said.

She begged that her tale be widely shared in order to discourage others from making the same mistakes she did, adding that, “I don vow to carry myself jeje come back Nigeria after I pay this woman her N3m. I better stay in my fatherland in poverty than do these things for abroad.”
