The unveiling ceremony, held at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024, was a significant yet concise event. It was attended by the club’s Chairman, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Na Yara Mai Samba, along with his board members.

The club has strategically added twelve new players to the squad, addressing key positions identified as areas of need. These signings underscore Kano Pillars FC’s determination to strengthen their team and reclaim their dominance in the league.

Among the new signings are three goalkeepers: Chukwuemeka Oniya from Rangers International, Abuchi Okeke from Sokoto United, and Charles Tembe from Remo Stars. The defense has been reinforced with Mustapha Jibrin, a right-back from Niger Tornadoes, Ugochwukwu Gabriel from Wikki Tourists FC, Nelso Abiam from Doma United, and Alhassan Rashid from Karela United, Ghana.

In the attacking front, Zulkifilu Muhammed from Rangers International and Sudais Ali Baba, a striker from FC Trollhättan in Sweden, are expected to inject creativity and goals. The midfield has been strengthened with the addition of Bright Emmanuel from Solution FC, while Akpesiri Naibe, a wing forward from Sporting Lagos, and Emmanuel Anaful, a striker from Karela FC, Ghana, complete the list of new signings.

In addition to these new players, the club has retained twenty players from the previous season. These retained players, along with the new signings, will compete for places in the starting lineup as the team prepares for the forthcoming season. The mix of experienced and fresh talent is anticipated to foster healthy competition within the squad, vital for the club’s ambitions this season.

The Sai Masu Gida will commence their 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League journey with a home match against newly promoted Ikorodu City of Lagos on Sunday, September 8th, 2024. Due to ongoing renovations at their traditional home ground, the Sani Abacha Stadium, the team will temporarily host their home games at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium in Katsina.

As the new season draws near, there is a growing sense of excitement among fans and players. The management, technical crew, and supporters are optimistic that the new additions will significantly impact the team’s performance, aiding Kano Pillars FC in their quest for success in the upcoming season.

The club’s ambition to reclaim the league title is clear, and with the unwavering support of their passionate fan base, “Sai Masu Gida” is set to make a powerful statement in the 2024/25 season.
