Not long ago, Noelia Voigt, 24, was named Miss USA 2023. She has now said that she is stepping down from her position because it is best for her mental health. A post on Instagram by Ms. Voigt told people about the news. “I know this will surprise a lot of people. Don’t put your mental and physical health at risk. “Our Health is Our Wealth,” she wrote in the post’s title. The post went live just a few days after Mental Health Awareness Month began.
“Being Miss USA and then representing the USA at Miss Universe has been a very important part of my life. “I’m very sorry to say that I have to give up my title as Miss USA 2023,” Ms. Voigt said in a statement.
“Deep down I know that this is just the beginning of a new chapter for me, and my hope is that I continue to inspire others to remain steadfast, prioritise your mental health, advocate for yourself and others by using your voice, and never be afraid of what the future holds, even if it feels uncertain,” she said.
In 2023, Nevada’s Ms. Voigt became the 72nd winner of Miss USA. She said that she was the first Venezuelan-American woman to win Miss USA.
CNN was told by a representative for the Miss USA Organisation that they agree with Ms. Voigt’s choice to step down and that the “well-being of our titleholders is a top priority, and we understand her need to prioritise herself at this time.” “Transition of responsibilities to a successor” is being looked at by the group right now, and they will soon tell who the new Miss USA is.
The group also showed their support for the model in an Instagram post. “Thank you, Noelia, for being Miss USA. “Best of luck with the next part,” the message said.

In November, Savannah Gankiewicz of Hawaii came in second place, just behind Ms. Voigt, making her a possible candidate to be the new Miss USA.
In her statement, Ms. Voigt, who studied interior design at the University of Alabama, said she is proud of her work with Smile Train, a nonprofit that helps kids with cleft lips and palates get surgery to fix them. She was also proud of her work fighting bullying, dating violence, and for immigration rights and reform.
“Eternal gratitude fills my heart when I think about the platform I was given to make a difference, the feeling of achieving a lifelong dream, and connecting with people all over the world, just as I said I would do on the Miss USA stage,” she said.
“I wish I could give you all a hug.” I will always love all of you with all my heart. “Always peace and love,” she said.
