Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has urged Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to appeal to the Nigerian government for his freedom or face the possibility of dying in detention.
During the launch of his 30th “Warning to the Nations” event at his church in Lagos, Primate Ayodele cautioned that Kanu’s refusal to seek the government’s pardon could lead to dire consequences, including his demise while incarcerated by the Department of State Services (DSS).
Kanu, who has been detained since June 2021 following his extradition from Kenya, has been denied release despite multiple court grants of bail.

Ayodele also predicted Nigeria’s eventual breakup, asserting that it would occur independently of Kanu or Sunday Igboho, the Yoruba Nation agitator.
He emphasized that the separation would be peaceful, originating from the North, and not marked by violence.
According to Ayodele: “Nigeria will break but not through Nnamdi Kanu or Sunday Igboho, Kanu should beg the government before he is released or else he will die in jail.
“He should hands off because he lacks the capacity to carry the agitation. The country will break without a bloodbath, it will be a natural cause.
“Prayer and fasting will not stop it because the spirit of existence is tired, The spirit of our forefathers like Tafawa Balewa is not happy. Nigeria’s break up will start from the North.”
