Police Confirm Portable in Custody After Surrender

The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed that controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has surrendered and is now in police custody.

Portable turned himself in at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Abeokuta on February 19, 2025, at 1:23 PM. He is being questioned over an alleged attack on officials of the Ogun State Town Planning Agency during an enforcement operation on his property in Ilogbo.

Police spokesperson Omolola Odutola assured the public that due process would be followed and updates would be provided as necessary.

Portable had been declared wanted after a confrontation with three town planning officials in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota. He initially went into hiding and denied involvement but later apologized to the Ogun State government, citing fear as his reason for fleeing.

After weeks of evasion, he hinted at surrendering via Instagram before finally reporting to the authorities.
