An aide has been dismissed from their role at the Anambra Government House following the unauthorized release of a video featuring Governor Charles Soludo dancing to the song ‘Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo’.

The footage, which showed Soludo dancing with various guests during the state’s 33rd anniversary celebration, was recorded despite explicit instructions to keep the event off-the-record.

Sources revealed that Soludo had requested that the moment be kept private, but the video was leaked by a staff member who ignored these instructions.

The governor was reportedly surprised by the leak and has since initiated an investigation into how the footage was made public.

The aide believed to be responsible for the leak was terminated from their position after suspicions arose that they might have been working with opposition groups.

The government has expressed disappointment over the breach of privacy and is taking measures to address the situation.

“It was a surprise to the governor that the video leaked. He had asked everyone to put their cameras away and keep the moment private. We’re still investigating how the video got out.

“The governor’s action was not meant for public consumption. It was a private moment meant to bring levity and joy to the occasion.

“We’re disappointed it was leaked and are taking steps to hold those responsible accountable”, a source told The Whistler.
