South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron, aged 24, has been found dead in her Seongsu-dong apartment in Seoul.
Authorities confirmed the discovery on February 17, 2025, when a friend found her body around 4:55 PM (07:55 GMT).
Police have stated that there were no signs of foul play, and an official inquiry is underway to determine the cause of her death.
Kim Sae-ron was known for her promising career, starting as a child actor. She gained international recognition for her role in A Brand New Life (2009), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
She also starred in several successful films, including The Man from Nowhere (2010) and The Neighbour (2012).
In recent years, Kim had been in the spotlight for a drunk driving incident in 2022, which led to a fine of 20 million won (£11,000) in April 2023.
Her most recent role was in Netflix’s 2023 Korean drama, Bloodhounds, but most of her scenes were edited out due to the controversy surrounding her.
