Former Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, paid a visit to Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, at his residence in Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South.
Governor Otti, the sole Labour Party Governor in the South East region and Nigeria, warmly welcomed Ihedioha, the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Sources from the Government House revealed that the two leaders held a closed-door meeting, sparking speculation about the political landscape in Imo State and Ihedioha’s potential move to the Labour Party.
Ihedioha recently resigned from the PDP due to the controversy surrounding the party’s National Secretary position.
Confirming the meeting, Ihedioha praised Governor Otti’s achievements in Abia State, describing their discussion as convivial.
Confirming his meeting his Otti, Ihedioha in a post via his X handle, wrote:
“Delighted to have met with my esteemed brother and friend, Governor @alexottiofr, at his residence in Isialangwa.
“We had a convivial discussion, even as I commend his giant strides in Abia State.”
