Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has debunked rumors circulating on social media about a potential collaboration with former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, in the 2027 polls.
Addressing journalists in Gombe State after donating a borehole to the ram market in Tike Pantami, Obi emphasized his current focus on Nigeria’s immediate welfare rather than future political endeavors.
“I’m more interested now in Nigeria’s success today than tomorrow,” Obi affirmed. “We are always concentrating on the election rather than what Nigerians are going through.”
While the prospect of partnering with El-Rufai was raised, Obi remained steadfast in his commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians, stating, “My commitment is about Nigerians living in a better society, given a better life, and that’s my concern.”
