South Africa is in grief after actor Mpho Seben passed away tragically. According to his family, the actor passed away in an automobile accident in Potchefstroom, North West province, on Sunday.
The actor’s family, 30, has requested privacy as they process this heartbreaking news.
Renowned in South Africa’s entertainment industry, Sebeng had an impressive career spanning over twenty years, filled with awards and outstanding performances. At the age of twelve, he embarked on his acting career, which propelled him into the limelight on television.
His roles in TV dramas like “Justice For All” and “Zero Tolerance,” which both won several awards and earned a great deal of praise, are among his most renowned accomplishments. He played a part in the 2011 historical picture “Winnie,” which was a portrayal of the life of the late Winnie Mandela, when he was still in high school.
His aptitude was acknowledged even further when he received a nomination for the 2018 South African Film and Television Awards’ Best Male Actor in a Telenovela category. Sebeng’s resume included work on global stages, including parts in Netflix series like “Miseducation” and “Savage Beauty.”

Both Sebeng’s admirers and coworkers are deeply saddened by his departure. In expressing his sorrow, actor Zola Hashatsi said that Sebeng was a beloved friend and coworker whose absence left a huge gap.
