Emmanuel Adebisi, an aide to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has refuted allegations that he was suspended by the governor.
This comes after an announcement on Wednesday by the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, stated that Adebisi, who serves as the Senior Special Assistant on Civil Societies, was suspended.
The official statement did not specify reasons for the suspension but mentioned that it would remain in effect “pending the outcome of investigations by the Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Kazeem Akinleye.”
In response, Adebisi took to Facebook to deny these claims, asserting that he has not been suspended and continues to fulfill his duties.
He also dismissed accusations of diverting 70 bags of rice meant for civil society groups during the recent Sallah celebration.
Adebisi’s post reads: “Reports circulating about my suspension and removal from a WhatsApp group are entirely false. I am still diligently serving as the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke with full commitment. The allegations about the rice diversion are baseless, and I challenge anyone with evidence to come forward.”
He further stated, “I remain a dedicated member of the Osun Government team, maintaining high standards of integrity and service. I urge the public to disregard these unfounded rumors and respect the truth.”
