Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has generously contributed more than N26 million to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members assigned to the state.
Each of the 1,326 Corps members will receive N20,000 to support their welfare.
The donation was announced on Tuesday during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch B Stream One Orientation at the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Asaya, Kogi State.

Governor Ododo, represented by his deputy, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, emphasized that the funds aim to motivate the Corps members to make a positive impact in their assigned communities.
Governor Ododo pledged to honor and reward committed Corps members after their service year and urged all employers in the state to accept Corps members for their service year.
He reassured the Corps members of the government’s commitment to their safety and welfare.
