OG Anunoby’s debut performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves served as a catalyst for the New York Knicks, leading them to their first victory in four consecutive matches.
Anunoby, a 26-year-old player originally from London, was selected from the Toronto Raptors on December 30th. He contributed 17 points and six rebounds in a 112-106 win.
The Knicks’ triumph advances their season record to 18-15, solidifying their position as the seventh-ranked team in the Eastern Conference.
The Timberwolves maintain their position at the top of the Western Conference with a record of 24-8.
Julius Randle excelled for the Knicks, tallying 39 points and securing nine rebounds.
Giannis Antetokounmpo achieved a triple-double for the Milwaukee Bucks, but, it did not result in a victory as they were defeated by the Indiana Pacers with a score of 122-113.
