The Department of State Services (DSS) has refuted claims of conducting a raid at the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) headquarters in Abuja.
Reports earlier suggested that armed individuals, purportedly from the DSS, entered the Labour House in an operation during the evening hours.
According to NLC spokesperson Benson Upah, the assailants allegedly searched the premises, focusing on the bookshop and confiscating various materials, citing concerns over seditious content related to past protests.

However, DSS spokesperson Peter Afunanya denied these allegations, asserting that the agency had no involvement in the reported incident.
In response, the NLC condemned the alleged intrusion, demanding the immediate withdrawal of security personnel and emphasizing the unauthorized nature of the operation.
