Governor Seyi Makinde appoints new Olubadan of Ibadan

Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment of Owolabi Olakuleyin as the 43rd Olubadan of lbadanland.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Oyo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Olusegun Olayiwola.

The approval marks the conclusion of several legal procedures mandated by state laws governing the installation of royal leaders.

Governor Makinde granted the approval through a memorandum signed on June 14, 2024, exercising authority vested in him by Section 19 (Cap 28) of the Law of Oyo State 2000, as amended.

He extended congratulations to the new Olubadan and expressed hope that his tenure would bring significant development to Ibadanland and Oyo State.
