The first son of Ojomu of Ajiran land, Tijani Akinloye, Demola, was shot and killed by gunmen in the Ajiran community of Agungi Area, Lekki, Lagos State.
This has caused tension in the area.
The assassination happened on Monday along Chevron Drive, close to Ebano Supermarket, according to a source who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the gravity of the situation.
The tension brought on by the killing is causing people to leave the community.
Additionally, a notice from the community’s estate management confirmed the incident and urged the locals to stay away from the Agungi, Ajiran, and Chevron areas.
The statement read, “This is to notify all residents that Ajiran (Agungi) king’s son was assassinated today along Chevron Drive (close to Ebano Supermarket) this morning.
“We therefore plead to our esteemed residents to avoid Chevron area, Agungi and Ajiran for now for their safety.”
When contacted, Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, stated he was unaware of the situation and promised to update our correspondent as soon as he received it.
“I am not aware, I will contact you once I’m privy to the information,” he said.
