Edwin Clark, a former Federal Commissioner for Information, has called for the arrest and prosecution of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
In a letter to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, Clark expressed concern over recent comments made by Wike, which he believes could incite violence against Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors.
During a press conference at his residence in Asokoro, Clark criticized Wike’s statements made at a PDP event in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where Wike allegedly threatened to cause unrest in states governed by PDP leaders.
Clark viewed these comments as a serious threat, describing them as disrespectful to President Bola Tinubu, who appointed Wike, and warned that they could lead to national instability.
Clark also pointed out that similar actions had led to the detention of Omoyele Sowore, a former presidential candidate, and participants in the #EndBadGovernance protests.
