The approval, which came at a cost of ₦502,000,000, was announced during the 17th council’s meeting held on Tuesday at the Kano Government House.

In a statement issued by Governor Yusuf’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing public infrastructure and services.

“The approval for the water pumps is part of our ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and public services in Kano State,” Dawakin Tofa stated.

The Tamburawa and Chalawa water treatment plants play a crucial role in providing clean water to Kano’s rapidly growing population.

The introduction of these new factory pump machines is expected to significantly boost the capacity and efficiency of these plants, ensuring a more reliable water supply for residents.

“This investment will address current challenges and meet the increasing demand for water in our communities,” added Dawakin Tofa.

In addition to approving the water pump supply, the council also approved several other infrastructure projects, highlighting the government’s dedication to comprehensive development throughout the state.

These projects are aimed at improving public services and infrastructure, contributing to the overall well-being and economic growth of Kano.

The approval of these initiatives reflects the administration’s proactive approach to tackling challenges of access to water and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens.

The state government continues to prioritize investments in key areas to support sustainable development and ensure that essential services are accessible to all residents.
