Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been appointed as the chairman of the Southwest Governors’ Forum.
The senior special assistant on media to the Lagos governor, Wale Ajetunmobi, made this known on his X handle stating that Sanwo-Olu was unanimously elected by the governors.
Sharing a video, he wrote: “All the six Governors in the Southwest of Nigeria have adopted and unanimously elected Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as chairman of the Southwest Governors’ Forum, today at their meeting in Lagos.

Former Ondo State governor, Late Rotimi Akeredolu was previously held the position until his death in 2023.
