The fuel crisis in Nigeria has claimed a life, as Oluwatuyi Olasoji, the chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) for Akure South Local Government, tragically passed away.
Olasoji collapsed while waiting to purchase fuel at a station in Akure, Ondo State, during the recent surge in fuel scarcity.
He was rushed to the Federal Medical Center in Owo, where he underwent surgery but could not be saved, passing away on September 9.
This fuel shortage has worsened across the country, leading to long lines at filling stations and higher transport fares, leaving many commuters stranded.
As the scarcity persists, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has assured the public that the situation will improve soon.
