Police arrests 12 for stabbing man to death inside mosque in Kaduna

The Kaduna state police has announced the arrest of 12 suspect linked to the attack, and stabbing of a man to death.

The man was attacked during the tahajjud prayers that Muslims does during Ramadan.

In a statement by the police command, it’s says the they only heard it after it occurred.

The statement added the suspect were from Malalin Gabas, Tudun Wada, Rafin Guza, and Unguwar Baduko.

The attack happened at Layin Bilya, Makwa Road, Rigasa Kaduna state.

The statement added that before the police arrived, the suspect “had already stabbed one Usman Mohammad, a 23-year-old victim, with a sharp knife. Despite being rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries hours later and was confirmed dead.”

The police however said they’ve so far arrested 12 suspects linked to the attack, “and they have confessed to have partaken in the attack and recovered several weapons from them.”
