Former Minister of Aviation and Senator, Stella Oduah, has disclosed her reasons for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Addressing the Igbo Business Community in Abuja, Oduah lauded the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, affirming that his administration is dedicated to bolstering Nigeria’s economy and ensuring visible growth.
Oduah particularly commended Tinubu for prioritizing infrastructural development in the South East and embracing the region in governance, citing the appointment of Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, as the Coordinator of APC activities in the region as a motivating factor for her switch.
Highlighting Tinubu’s administration as one of action over rhetoric, Oduah praised its tangible achievements and strategic policies aimed at unlocking Nigeria’s productive potentials and fostering job creation, especially for the youth.
She emphasized the significance of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in alleviating the nation’s current challenges.
Additionally, Oduah commended Tinubu’s commitment to youth inclusion and empowerment, citing initiatives such as the release of N60 billion under the Agric Investment and SME Scheme.
She also lauded efforts to clear a $7 billion foreign exchange backlog, noting its positive impact on the national economy.
Regarding party activities, Oduah expressed optimism about the APC’s prospects in the South East under Governor Uzodimma’s coordination, believing it will further strengthen the party’s presence in the region.
In urging unity among the Igbo Business Community in support of Tinubu, Uzodimma, and the APC, Oduah emphasized the benefits of aligning with a government that prioritizes creativity, productivity, and inclusiveness, affirming the region’s embrace of Tinubu and his party.
