Tinubu congratulates Goodluck Jonathan for winning Sunhan prize for peace 

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former President Goodluck Jonathan on winning the 2025 Sunhak Founder Award for peace.

In a statement by the president spokeperson, Bayo Onanuga , Tinubu said the award is deserved.

President applauds the former President for his consistent advocacy for peace, harmony, and communality, a patriotic endeavour that has earned him global recognition.

Recalls that the former president concealed defeat during the 2025 general election to now former president Muhammadu Buhari.

He accepted the outcome o the election at the a time the country was seating in a time bomb, thus rendering him a statement status and general acceptance as a man of peace.

Tinubu said he’s celebrating the achievement with the former President Jonathan.

Tinubu equally thanks the Sunhak Peace Prize Committee for recognising the efforts of those working hard to improve the world, especially the former Nigerian leader.
