President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, for Dakar, Senegal, to attend the inauguration of Senegal’s President-elect, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, commonly known as Diomaye, is a Senegalese politician and former tax inspector who is the president-elect of Senegal. He was a political prisoner before he constested and won against the ruling party.
President Tinubu, who is the Chairman of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, will join other regional leaders to witness the inauguration at Diamniadio Exhibition Centre on Tuesday.
Africa has been plagued with old politicians, especially presidents that are known to hold unto power despite their age and even worsening health conditions in some cases.
